At Gateway Christian Church, we believe sports are about more than winning games. They're an opportunity to build friendships, develop character, learn teamwork, and most importantly, share the love of Jesus Christ.

For over 20 years, Upward Sports has used basketball and cheerleading to help children grow both on and off the court. We're excited to continue that mission right here in Montgomery County!

Whether your child is new to the game or has played for years, Upward provides an encouraging, Christ-centered environment where every child matters.

Upward Basketball & Cheer is open to children in Kindergarten through 8th Grade during the 2026–2027 school year.

Our Upward program is directed by Brett Stamps, who has served in ministry at Gateway Christian Church for 17 years. Brett brings a passion for helping young people grow in their faith, develop meaningful relationships, and discover their God-given potential.

2027 GYM Basketball League : Grades 9-12

Our goal is to assist in developing young athletes while emphasizing the value of team play, character building, and a Christ Centered Life through the sport of basketball.

Parent Contact Mandatory (email and phone number) must be listed in registration.

Registration & Payment Deadline: November 30th

Evaluation December 10th @ 7pm.
Practice begins in January.
Games begin in February 2027.

Your Registration will not be complete until payment is received.

Registrants whose payment is not received by Evaluation Night will automatically be removed from registration.
