Grade Promotion
It’s time to move up! Children of all ages will officially be promoted to their next grade level. Students entering 6th grade are especially invited to check out the Gateway Youth Ministry at their 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM gatherings.

From helping sort & organize, to directing traffic, to loading cars, this is a fantastic way to get involved and help our local community.

We’ll cover safety, drop-off and pick-up procedures, and how we’re equipping and scheduling those serving. All parents, those currently serving, and anyone interested in serving are encouraged to attend.

This Sunday, May 31st, students in Grades 1-5 will join their families in the Worship Center for Family Worship! Pick up a kid-friendly Activity Packet just outside the doors to help your children actively engage in the service—teaching them how to listen, sing along, and take notes.

Who’s ready to set out flowers, freshen up those porches, or finally plant that garden? Come spend a relaxing and joy-filled day with us as we head to Two Brothers Garden Center to get inspired for the season!

Afterward, we’ll make our way to the charming town of Midway for lunch together at local favorites, Brown Barrel and Blind Harry’s—two places rich with history and heart.

The Brown Barrel was named in honor of Winston Eugene Peace, a beloved grandfather who spent over 25 years crafting barrels right here in the Bluegrass. He loved to sing to his family—“Little Brown Jug” being a favorite—which inspired the name and spirit behind the restaurant.

Blind Harry’s carries the legacy of Harry Clay Anderson, a remarkable man from Midway who lived out the truth that “there’s always a way if you try.” Though blind, he built homes—by hand—that are still standing today. His story is one of determination, perseverance, and incredible strength.

This day is more than just flowers and food—it’s about community, encouragement, and enjoying the beauty of the season together.

This gathering will focus on the power and importance of prayer—exploring why we pray, how to pray, and what Scripture teaches us about connecting with God through prayer. It will be a meaningful time of learning, encouragement, and growing in faith together. Breakfast will be provided in the lobby, and we’ll wrap up with a fun activity you won’t want to miss. McDowell House & Constitution Square

Join us for a meaningful day exploring the historic Ephraim McDowell House and Constitution Square Historic Site in Danville, Kentucky. Walk through the home where Dr. Ephraim McDowell performed the world’s first successful ovarian surgery in 1809 and discover the fascinating early medical artifacts housed there. Then step into Kentucky’s beginnings at Constitution Square, the birthplace of our state’s journey to statehood in 1792.

Gateway Youth Ministries

We understand that teens need community just as much as they need faith. They need a place to be encouraged, uplifted, and supported in their spiritual life. At Sunday Night Flip, we create a relaxed environment for discussion, study, service, worship, and fun. A meal is provided for youth.

Both Middle and High School students will gather together at 6 for worship and a lesson, then split into small groups from 7:00–7:30.
