"We’re excited to host Upward Basketball & Cheer, using sports to reach the kids of Montgomery County with the love of Christ. But we need your help! Volunteers are essential to making this event possible. Let’s come together as a church to share Christ’s love and make a difference." (Background checks required for all volunteers.)

Qualifications to Play:

Must be in Kindergarten - 8th grade during the 2025-2026 school year

Player sign-ups begin October 1st - October 31st.

Help as a coach, referee, or devotional leader. 
Volunteer sign-up has already begun. Ends October 31st.

This program is directed by Brett Stamps, who has 16 years of experience in ministry at Gateway. Brett is a very important part of Gateway Christian Church and excels in communication and leadership with kids of all ages.
